OUR SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT GOAL:GREENER AND FAIRER SUPPLY CHAIN

As TEMSA, we have taken an important step to further strengthen our commitment to sustainability principles and to fulfil our social responsibility by minimising our environmental impact and developed the Sustainable Supplier Development Programme IMPACT (Initiative for a Meaningful Partnership Achieving Carbon Targets). We have completed Phase 1 of our project consisting of 6 phases and determined our sustainable supply chain targets for our critical suppliers.

In this context, we identified our 100 suppliers, which account for 87% of our total turnover, and included them in the evaluation process to understand their sustainability performance according to international standards (GRI).

During the evaluation process, we accessed the ESG data of 46 suppliers, scored them between A-F and delivered their ESG certificates.

Among the 46 suppliers whose assessment was completed, we identified 8 suppliers as critical suppliers, each with a turnover of 0.7% or more, which we can influence in accordance with Sabancı Holding Responsible Investment Policy. Apart from these 8 suppliers, we shared action plans with all suppliers participating in the assessment as an opportunity for development.

Percentage score distribution of our critical suppliers:

37.5% B, 37.5% C, 25% D level.

In accordance with the action plans assigned according to ESG scores, we give an open target for all our critical suppliers to reach level A by 2030. In order for them to reach this target, we share with them the development areas under the following headings;

Corporate activities, water, energy and waste, sustainability governance, stakeholder relations

In 2024, in line with our ‘Together on the Sustainability Journey’ approach, we will continue our journey to include our entire ecosystem, starting with our Critical Suppliers, make on-site visits and improve our communication within the framework of openness and transparency.

RESPONSIBLEPURCHASING POLICY

Our Responsible Purchasing Policy: has been built upon our principles stipulated in TEMSA Code of Conduct, TEMSA Purchasing Procedure, TEMSA Quality Procedure, TEMSA Occupational Health and Safety Policy. Believing that the responsible purchasing notion could only be secured through a responsible supply chain also embraced by our suppliers, we manage our supplier relationships within the framework of "Responsible Purchasing Policy."
